RSHE

Intent 

Our RSHE curriculum equips pupils with knowledge, skills and values to build safe relationships, maintain wellbeing and manage risk. It is inclusive, safeguarding-led and progressive. The curriculum supports pupils to develop independence, make safe and informed choices and prepare for life in modern Britain. We want all our pupils to “Learn not for school, but for life. Learning reflects the Equality Act 2010 and ensures pupils understand protected characteristics and British values through age-appropriate teaching.  

Implementation 

The curriculum is delivered through weekly lessons structured around big questions, discussion and scenarios across three strands: Community and relationships, Health and wellbeing, and Keeping Safe and growing up. Enrichment events extend learning. Lessons are evidenced in RSHE floor books.  

Impact 

Pupils demonstrate knowledge of safety, respectful relationships and wellbeing. They apply these independently in real-life situations.
